The Inspiration

In Honour of Ifetola Williams

The Ifetola Williams Foundation was established posthumously in honour of Ifetola Williams nee Kukoyi— a remarkable individual whose deep compassion, belief in the power of education, and love for Nigeria's youth left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Ifetola understood, perhaps more than most, what it meant to face barriers. Her life embodied resilience, warmth, and an unshakeable conviction that every young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of the circumstances into which they are born.

By founding this organisation in her name, her family and friends ensure that her spirit lives on — in every examination fee paid, every skill learned, and every child who dares to dream a little bigger because of her legacy.

Our History

How It All Began

December 2018

Shekinah Foundation Established

Founded by Ifetola Williams and managed in partnership with her husband, The Shekinah Foundation was established with a vision to create positive change in communities. Over a period of two years, the Foundation successfully delivered four projects that made a meaningful impact on the lives of beneficiaries

April 2026

Foundation Renamed

To honour the legacy, compassion, dedication, and lifelong commitment of its founder, The Shekinah Foundation was renamed the Ifetola Williams Foundation. The renaming reflects her enduring passion for serving others and creating lasting positive change in communities. The Ifetola Williams Foundation was formally constituted and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria and was officially certified on April 13, 2026. The Foundation continues to uphold the values, vision, and humanitarian spirit that defined Ifetola Williams' life and work The founding constitution was signed by Chairman Williams Oluwaseun and Secretary Kukoyi Zainab, committing the Foundation to its five core aims and objectives in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

August 15, 2026

The Ifetola Williams Foundation Launched

On August 15, 2026, the Ifetola Williams Foundation was officially launched to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Ifetola Williams' passing. This milestone serves as a tribute to her remarkable life, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to helping others. The Foundation carries forward her legacy by investing in the education, welfare, and empowerment of children and young people across Nigeria.

2026 Onwards

Programmes Begin

With a strong governance framework in place, the Foundation is actively fulfilling its mission by supporting young people across Western Nigeria through educational assistance, vocational skills training, and community welfare programmes. In the years ahead, the Ifetola Williams Foundation envisions a nationwide presence, extending its reach to communities across Nigeria. By empowering dreams, unlocking potential, and investing in the future of children and youth, the Foundation seeks to create lasting social impact and inspire the next generation of changemakers..

Williams Oluwaseun

Chairman, Board of Trustees

Williams Oluwaseun is Chairman of the Ifetola Williams Foundation, established in memory of his late wife, Ifetola. With over a decade of experience in IT services across the financial, transport, and education sectors in Nigeria and the UK, he leads IWF with a structured, forward-thinking approach; carrying forward Ifetola's belief in the power of opportunity to empower young people.

Kukoyi Zainab

Secretary, Board of Trustees

Kukoyi Zainab Oluwagbemisola is a Data Analyst and Certified Cybersecurity Professionals with a passion for using technology and data to drive meaningful impact. She is committed to advancing youth empowerment, mentoring young people, and strengthening communities through purposeful leadership. As a trustee of the foundation, she is dedicated to promoting its vision with integrity, compassion, and service.

Oshodi-Nwamadi Omowonuola

Financial Secretary, Board of Trustees

Omowonuola Oshodi-Nwamadi is a seasoned fintech professional with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Throughout her career, she has built expertise in banking e- business & payment operations, merchant acquiring, regulatory compliance, fraud risk management, and digital payments. Beyond her professional career, she values mentorship, service, and making a positive impact in her community.
